Electric Avenue's 80's Movie Soundtrack Night is a high-energy concert experience that brings the iconic music from classic 80's films to life. Electric Avenue, known for its authentic recreation of 80's New Wave and Radio Pop, delivers a show packed with hits from movies like Footloose, The Breakfast Club, Top Gun, Purple Rain, Dirty Dancing and many more.
Expect a fun night of singing, dancing, and reliving the magic of the decade's most memorable cinematic moments as they play out on the big screen at the Dothan Opera House, while Electric Avenue masterfully brings those unforgettable soundtrack hits to life on stage!
About Electric Avenue
Electric Avenue's sound is so close to that of the original artists that in 2019 Warner Music issued a cease-and-desist for using Tears for Fears original recordings on their social channels. After hearing an Electric Avenue live performance, Warner Music issued an apology to the band.
What started out as a one-off gig in 2012, has turned into:
100 shows a year across the US; cruising international waters with The Walking Dead Cast (and fans), Kid Rock, The Impractical Jokers, and Pitbull; being joined on stage by Bobby Kimball (Lead singer of Toto), Little River Band and Pat Benatar.
Electric Avenue have performed with Paul Simon, Loverboy, Idina Menzel, Lionel Richie, Zac Brown Band, RENT (our singer performed the lead role of Roger Davis for 550 shows 2001-2004), Tracy Chapman, Kristian Bush (Sugarland), B-52s, Boston, Collective Soul, Sister Hazel, Boyz Il Men, & many more.
