The Music South Outreach Program
Our free concert program was created to help enrich the lives of our youth, seniors and community. We are proud to present our Outreach Program for the 2022 - 2023 Concert Season.
A Focus on Youth
Music South has a passion for introducing music to our youth. Each year we host a FREE concert for over 2000 elementary and middle school students as well as high school band students. Among the performers we have presented are BALSAM RANGE, THE AFRICAN CHILDREN'S CHOIR, THE ALABAMA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, THE DALLAS BRASS, TROY SYMPHONY BAND, THREE ON A STRING and ACT OF CONGRESS.
This year, the country's leading Chicago tribute band, Chi-Town transit Authority will perform and provide an exciting introduction to the world of quality music for our youngest listeners. Many of the youth are from rural areas of the Southeast and may never have the opportunity to hear live symphony music. We expect that the schools will bus in over 2000 students to this event.
